2. Aurora Borealis at the Arctic Circle:
The Aurora Borealis also known as Northern Lights are from Fairbanks, and above the Arctic Circle. Scientists say the Northern Lights are created by the sun’s super-hot atmosphere, which blasts the particles into the protective magnetic field surrounding the earth.

A green aurora appears over Svalbard in Norway, an area close to the North Pole which is shrouded in darkness for much of the year.
The magnetic field forces the particles towards the north and south poles. About 60-200 miles overhead, the particles bump into the earth’s atmosphere and become electrically ‘excited’- throwing off light of various colors. Although this process occurs all the time in a day, the lights are visible only at the night-time.
The wisp of green light twists over a pink sky in this incredible picture of northern lights. It was took by the German photographer Kerstin Langenberger, when she was traveling from the North Pole.
3.The Niagara Falls:
The Niagara Falls are made by a collection of three falls located on the Canadian, US Border. The American Falls, The Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls are the component falls that makes up the great Niagara Falls. 4. Horsetail Falls, Yosemite National Park:
The Horsetail Fall, is located in Yosemite National Park, California, it is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. This fall occurs on the east side of EI Capitan (EI Capitan is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley).
The spectacular view of the waterfall is created by the reflection of sunlight hitting the falling water at a specific angle. The sun sets the waterfall ablaze with red and orange colors, like a fire was falling down the cliffs on the shoulder of EI Capitan.
You can see this rare sight only at a 2-week period towards the end of February. The reason is the appearance of this falls depends on a some natural phenomenon’s occurring at the same time.
First is the formation of the waterfall – The water is formed by the melting of ice and snow at the top of the mountain. The second reason is the specific angle of the sunray hitting on the falling water. The sun’s position must be exactly at a particular spot in the sky. This coincidence usually happens only in the month of February and at the short hours of dusk.
5. Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe:
The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world. The local people call it “Mosi-oa-Tunya” — the smoke that thunders and falls are remarkable.
